Voice Recorder Not Working?
Most mic issues come down to browser permissions or the wrong input device. Check those two things first before anything else.
Permission blocked — Click the mic icon in your browser address bar, switch it to Allow, then reload the page.
Wrong microphone selected — You may have more than one mic. Open system sound settings and set the correct one as the input.
Mic in use by another app — Close Zoom, Teams, or any app that might be holding the mic, then try again.
Flat waveform, no sound — If the waveform does not move, the mic is likely muted in your OS. Open sound settings and unmute the input device.
Download not working — Some browsers block automatic file downloads. Look for a prompt in the address bar and click Allow.
Features of Online Voice Recorder
Records directly in your browser
No app to download, no account to create. Just open the page, hit record, and you're going. It works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Multiple download formats
Once you stop recording you can save the file as MP3, WAV, or WebM. MP3 is the most compatible for sharing, WAV gives you uncompressed quality, and WebM is a solid fallback if conversion fails.
Pause and resume
You can pause mid-recording and pick up right where you left off — the whole thing saves as one continuous file. Handy when you need a moment to collect your thoughts.
Live waveform display
The waveform moves in real time while you speak so you can see straight away whether the mic is picking you up properly or something is off.
Multiple recordings in one session
Each time you stop, the recording gets saved to the list below. You can make as many clips as you need without refreshing the page, then download them one by one.
Nothing leaves your device
All recording happens locally in your browser. Your audio is never uploaded to a server, never stored on our end, and never accessible to anyone but you.
Note: Your voice is never recorded on our servers, stored, or shared with anyone. All recording happens locally inside your browser — the audio never leaves your device.
We have zero access to your microphone data. 100% private, always.
